Miller Creek Conservation Area
We will clean up any trash but also check out what's stirring in the pond. There should be some neat discoveries. Come with rubber boots or shoes that are okay to get wet/muddy. Nets will be provided for catching critters but water bottles can be useful as well as something to keep bugs from bugging you. Miller Creek is located along Smith Twp Line 7 off of Centre Line of Smith. Hope to see you there... Neil

Tour of New Environment Centre
Come check out the new Trent Environment Centre run by Camp Kawartha on Oct. 25th at 2:00pm. This building is a one of a kind building with many sustainable building and alternative energy features. We'll do a tour (there are cool animal tracks in the floor and a pop bottle wall), maybe build some birdfeeders to place at the centre, fix up the butterfly garden created in the summer and generally have some fun.
To find the centre go to Trent University follow Nassau Mills Rd. (the main campus road) to Pioneer Rd. Turn right and go about 400m, look to the right (south) and the Centre is a new funky looking building right across the road from the entrance to the Peter Gzowski campus road. Hope to see you there! ... Neil & Dan
